Changing the speed threshold
To change the speed threshold for Overspeed Detection (ie the speed at or over which an alert is triggered)-
- Log into the TrafficVision web-ui.
- Select Video tab > Advanced Settings subtab
- Select the specific camera from the drop down menu
- Filter the advanced settings by typing “overspeed” (without quotes) in the input box and hit the refresh button
- Adjust the speed threshold (speed_max) value.
- Click Save Changes
Camera presets
The cameras have internal presets that have been configured for Truck Overspeed Detection. The preset for Truck Overspeed Detection is saved as Pre-position 1 and Pre-position 2 on each of the four cameras. Preset 2 is a precaution for if Preset 1 is deleted.
Webrelay configuration and Pulse Duration
The following shows the configuration for the web relay used in Truck Overspeed Detection. The web relay is used to activate the highway sign that alerts drivers of Overspeed Detection.
Pulse Duration for Truck Overspeed Detection
To change the overspeed detection pulse duration-
- Use a browser to navigate to the web relay ip address associated with the specific overspeed threshold camera
- Login with credentials
- Select the “Input/Relay” tab at the top of the web page
- Edit “Pulse Duration” as needed

- All the binaries, shared libraries and configuration is located in /home/tvdev/trafficvision Webrelay is controlled by /home/tvdev/bin/webrelay.py
